Obverse description Frontal bust of a bishop in episcopal vestments, mitred, holding a crozier in the right hand and a bible in the left hand. The effigy is rendered in a stylized Romanesque manner typical of medieval hammered coinage, with the figure occupying the central field. Lettering, where present, surrounds the bust in the outer legend area.

Reverse description The perron of Liège — the emblematic column-pillar symbol of the city — depicted centrally in the field, flanked on either side by a stylized floral ornament. The perron rises from a stepped base, its form rendered in a bold, schematic style characteristic of 13th-century Mosan coinage. The flanking flowers fill the field symmetrically, adding heraldic decoration to the composition.
