Obverse description Central field features a bold HE monogram (for Henricus) composed of interlaced letters, struck within a beaded inner circle. Four pattée-style cross terminals extend from the monogram toward the beaded border, lending the design a cruciform character. The surrounding legend, separated by the beaded circle, reads in Latin along the periphery. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, as typical of hammered medieval silver deniers, with moderate die wear visible across the field.
