Reverse description A plain cross divides the reverse field into four quarters, each containing one letter of the devotional inscription CRVX, arranged within a beaded inner circle. The cross arms extend to the beaded border, creating a bold geometric composition characteristic of Salian-period imperial pfennige. A degenerate outer legend surrounds the beaded circle, its letterforms heavily corrupted and largely illegible, a feature commonly observed on later die productions of this Regensburg emission.
