| Obverse description | Facing or slightly turned bust of Emperor Henry II, rendered in the stylized Ottonian manner characteristic of early eleventh-century imperial coinage, with elaborate striated hair rising above the crown and a visible diadem. The effigy is depicted in a bold, archaic style with strong linear features.
