Obverse description Stylized crowned bust of Emperor Henry II facing right, rendered in the crude hammered style typical of early 11th-century German coinage. The imperial crown is depicted with pellet decoration above the brow. The surrounding legend is divided by wedge-shaped stops at the beginning and end of the inscription, characteristic of Salzburg workshop practice. The portrait occupies the central field within an outer beaded border.
