Reverse description	Central cross pattée set within a beaded inner circle, with a pellet or trefoil ornament in each of the four quarters formed by the cross arms, a design characteristic of Bavarian and Austrian ecclesiastical deniers of the Ottonian period. The archbishop's name legend +HARTVVICVS EPS (Hartwicus Episcopus, referring to Archbishop Hartwig I of Salzburg) encircles the central motif in Latin majuscule letters, with the inscription distributed around the beaded annulus. The hammered flan produces slight irregularities in the coin's outline, and the engraving style is consistent with southern German ecclesiastical workshop production of the early eleventh century.
