Obverse description Armored knight in full gallop to the right, mounted on a prancing horse, the rider raising a sword aloft in his right hand in a striking posture. The figure is rendered in crude but vigorous relief typical of medieval feudal coinage, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The hammered fabric results in an irregular flan with variable strike depth across the design.
