| Reverse description | Central field bearing a chrism (chrismon), the Christogram composed of the superimposed Greek letters Chi and Rho, enclosed within a circular inner border. The chrism, a symbol of Christian royal authority, is rendered in the flat, linear style of Romanesque hammered coinage.
