Reverse description The heraldic arms of the Lusignan family — rendered as a shield bearing horizontal barry lines surmounted by a crescent — occupy the central field within a beaded inner circle. The shield is displayed upright beneath a prominent crescent, symbolising the dynastic identity of the Count of La Marche. The surrounding peripheral legend is struck on an irregular, slightly concave flan typical of hammered feudal deniers of this period.
