(Translation: Count Guy.)
Reverse description Central motif consists of a plain cross pattée with a small pellet in the upper dexter canton, all contained within a beaded inner circle. The cross arms extend nearly to the inner beaded border, dividing the central field into four quarters. The circumferential Latin legend ✠ NIVERNIS CIVIT encircles the inner design, denoting the City of Nevers as the place of issue. The overall execution is characteristic of feudal hammered billon coinage, with a somewhat irregular flan and variable die alignment.
