| Reverse description | A plain Greek cross with slightly expanded terminals occupies the center of the field, set within a beaded inner circle. The four quadrants formed by the cross arms are plain and unadorned. The surrounding outer legend, rendered in uncial Gothic lettering, reads + LAVSANE EPS, identifying the episcopal see of Lausanne as the issuing authority. The flan is irregular and the strike slightly off-center, consistent with hand-hammered medieval production. |
