| Reverse description | A cross pattée centrally positioned within a beaded inner circle, with alternating solid and voided crosslets in the four angles of the cross. The peripheral legend GODEFRIDVS, introduced by a cross pommée, runs around the outside of the beaded circle referencing the issuing count, Godfrey III of Leuven. The design is typical of mid-twelfth-century Brabantine feudal coinage, struck on a thin, irregularly shaped flan. |
