Reverse description A blessing hand issuing upward, set upon a plain cross, with the cross cantons each bearing one letter of the mint name T-O-V-L, one letter per quarter. The composition is strongly heraldic in character, typical of Lorraine episcopal deniers of the 13th century. The surrounding legend names the issuing see. The overall style reflects the simple, symbolic iconography common to ecclesiastical coinage of the period.
