| Obverse description | Central field features a prominent crescent symbol oriented upward, serving as the principal device. Surrounding the crescent, the legend GAVFRIDVS — the Latinized name of Geoffrey — runs around the periphery in Gothic-influenced letterforms characteristic of early 13th-century French feudal coinage.
