Reverse description Central field features a rampant lion passant or sejant, depicted in a bold, stylized Romanesque manner with exaggerated musculature and a prominent mane indicated by pellets or beading. Below the lion, a cross pattée is visible in the lower field, accompanied by a small star or annulet ornament. The flan edges are irregular and ragged, consistent with hand-hammered silver coinage of the early 13th century. No continuous legend is present, though scattered pellet or arc devices appear in the upper field. The design reflects the heraldic imagery associated with the imperial Nuremberg mint under Frederick II.
