| Obverse description | Frontal enthroned effigy of Emperor Frederick II in regal attire, rendered in low relief in the medieval Romanesque style characteristic of early 13th-century Imperial coinage. The ruler is depicted full-length, seated facing, holding a sword in his right hand and a scepter in his left, symbols of temporal and judicial authority. The figure is flanked by architectural or decorative elements on either side, and the overall composition fills the irregular flan with no surrounding legend. The die work is typical of the Eger (Cheb) mint, exhibiting the bold but somewhat schematic style of provincial Imperial minting. No inscription is present on this side. |
