Obverse description Two crowned lions passant, facing one another in adjacent opposition, occupy the upper field. Below them, between two concentric circles, an eagle displayed facing right is set in the lower register. The inner design is enclosed by a pearl border, with small five-petalled rosettes interspersed around the outer edge of the pearl rim.

Reverse description A lily cross occupies the central field, with a small dot at the center. The quarters formed by the cross arms alternate between a large fleur-de-lis motif and an arch surmounted by a small cross, creating a rhythmic fourfold decorative composition characteristic of Hohenstaufen-era hammered deniers.
