| Obverse description | Stylized frontal effigy of King Kálmán (Coloman) occupying the central field, rendered in a primitive Romanesque manner with schematic facial features including indicated eyes, nose, and mouth. The royal head is surmounted by a crown composed of projecting wedge-shaped elements, flanked by additional decorative wedge or pellet ornaments distributed around the field. The legend +CALMAN REX runs along the periphery, separated from the central device by a plain border, with the entire design enclosed within a beaded outer rim. |
