Obverse description Central field features a stylized frontal eagle head with spread wings and a shield or decorated body element below, rendered in a crude but characteristic early medieval style. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle. Retrograde or abbreviated Latin letters appear in the surrounding field at the cardinal and inter-cardinal positions, forming a fragmentary legend. The overall composition is typical of Polish bracteate coinage of the early thirteenth century, with flat relief on a thin flan. The irregular flan edge shows characteristic clipping consistent with hammered bracteate production.
