| Additional information |
Bolesław III Krzywousty consolidated minting activity at Kraków following his reunification of the fragmented Piast domains after 1106, and the bracteate deniers from this period reflect the westward transmission of thin-flan technology into Polish coinage — a format well-established in the Holy Roman Empire but still novel in the Piast court. The "protekcyjny" classification in Polish numismatic literature denotes a protective or guardian type, a category defined by Kopicki in his foundational corpus rather than by any contemporary administrative designation.
Kop#48 is among the scarcer attributable types of the reign.
