Obverse description Central cross with ornate voluted terminals dividing the field into four quadrants, each containing a decorative motif consisting of interlaced scrollwork and a central pellet or annulet. The cross is surmounted by a small finial at its apex. The entire design is enclosed within a plain inner circle, itself surrounded by the irregular flan edge typical of hammered bracteate coinage. The style is characteristic of late 13th to early 14th century Pomeranian workshop production.
