Reverse description As is characteristic of bracteate coinage, the reverse displays the incuse mirror image of the obverse design, showing the shield of two-fold arms in sunken relief — the rampant lion appearing in the dexter field and the six-pointed star in the sinister field when viewed from this side. The thin silver flan produces a clearly visible impression of the obverse design in negative, with no independent reverse type or legend.
