Obverse description Shielded arms of Baden displayed centrally within a beaded circle, the escutcheon divided diagonally with the traditional Baden bend sinister and checkered quarters. The letter 'V' appears prominently above the shield in the upper field, serving as an initial or mark associated with Margrave Philibert. The shield is rendered in a bold, Germanic heraldic style characteristic of mid-16th century hammered coinage. The surrounding beaded border is well-defined, conforming to the irregularly rounded flan.

Reverse description Uniface bracteate strike; the reverse is blank and shows only the incuse impression of the obverse design transferred through the thin silver flan during the hammering process, a technique typical of small medieval and early modern German Pfennig coinage.
