| Obverse description | Uniface bracteate struck on a thin silver flan with characteristically irregular edges. Central device depicts a frontal bust of a crowned ruler, rendered in a schematic Romanesque style. The figure wears a crown with upward-projecting elements and displays a simplified facial representation. Below the bust, a stepped or architectural element is visible, possibly representing a shield or collar. Ottokar II ruled Moravia before inheriting Bohemia, and his bracteate issues from this period reflect the thin-flan, single-die striking technique that dominated central European minor coinage in the mid-thirteenth century. Cach 969 is among the smaller diameter types in his Moravian sequence, distinguishable from related issues by specific design placement rather than weight alone.
Bracteates of this fragility rarely survive without creasing or edge splits from circulation handling.
