Obverse description Central crowned facing head of Ottokar II rendered in low relief, with stylized facial features including dotted eyes and a broad nose. The crowned effigy is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, surrounded by a decorative band of alternating pellets and lozenge-shaped ornaments. The overall composition is typical of Moravian bracteate coinage of the mid-thirteenth century, exhibiting the characteristic shallow strike of the hammered bracteate technique. The field beyond the inner decorative border is plain, bounded by the irregular flan edge.
