Obverse description Uniface bracteate struck in thin silver sheet. The central field depicts a seated figure, identified as Margrave Ottokar II, shown in frontal or three-quarter pose, holding regalia and flanked by stylized foliate or heraldic elements. A small crown or coronet is discernible above the figure. The design is rendered in low relief with the characteristic shallow, broad strike of Moravian bracteate coinage of the period. The irregular flan exhibits the typical raised rim formed during the hammering process.
