Obverse description Single-sided bracteate featuring a frontal crowned royal bust of Ottokar II, the crown rendered with three prominent points or fleurons. The king's stylized face is depicted in low relief with schematic features, flanked on either side by small heraldic devices or floral ornaments. Below the bust, a broad semicircular arc or crescent form frames the lower field, with a rosette or wheel motif centered beneath the effigy. The entire design is executed in the characteristic shallow, thin-flan bracteate style typical of Bohemian deniers of the mid-thirteenth century, with the raised relief appearing as a mirror-image depression on the reverse.
