Obverse description Single-sided bracteate struck in thin silver. Central field depicts a winged quadruped, likely an eagle or griffin, rendered in a stylized Romanesque manner, shown in profile facing right with wings raised. The creature is surrounded by a beaded inner circle. Scattered around the periphery of the field, both inside and outside the beaded border, are angular pseudo-letters or symbol characters consistent with Piast-era bracteate coinage, arranged irregularly around the circumference.

The incuse impression of the winged quadruped and surrounding beaded border are visible in relief on this side.
