Obverse description Facing bust of the ruler shown in low relief, rendered in a crude Romanesque style characteristic of early Polish medieval coinage. The effigy is flanked on either side by stylized architectural or foliate elements, with a fleur-de-lis (lis) held before the figure. Above the bust, a horizontal band of debased pseudo-inscription or ornamental motif fills the upper register of the coin's field. The overall composition is enclosed within a plain raised border typical of hammered bracteate technique.
