| Reverse description | As a bracteate, the reverse displays the incuse mirror image of the obverse design, showing the facing head and surrounding concentric dotted borders in negative relief. The thin silver flan exhibits the characteristic irregular edge and surface texture associated with hammered bracteate production of 12th-century Greater Poland. The incuse impression is clearly visible, with the central facial effigy and ornamental border legible in inverse form. |

Mieszko III ruled—and was twice expelled from—the senior princely throne during the fragmented period following the Testamentary Statute of Bolesław III Krzywousty, which deliberately divided Poland among his sons to prevent primogeniture consolidation. That partition destabilized ducal coinage for generations. Bracteates of this type were struck on blanks so thin that double-striking or off-center impressions are endemic to the series; Kop#126 specimens with clean, centered strikes are genuinely uncommon.
