Obverse description Frontal bust of a crowned prince rendered in low relief in the Romanesque bracteate tradition, the figure shown enthroned or standing en face with arms extended laterally, each hand appearing to grasp a stylized vegetal or serpentine element. The head is surmounted by a crescent-form crown with pellets, and the body is rendered in a schematic, hierarchical manner typical of early Polish bracteate coinage. The design is contained within a plain raised border ring, and the flan is characteristically thin and concave, with the obverse design showing in incuse on the reverse side. No legend is present.
