Obverse description Central facing bust of the prince, shown frontally with a rounded head surmounted by a domed architectural structure resembling a gatehouse or tower with two pillars, rendered in schematic Romanesque style. Two standing figures flank the central bust on either side, each depicted in a highly stylized, elongated manner with raised arms or attributes. The field is decorated with groups of pellets arranged symmetrically. A plain raised border encircles the entire design, characteristic of the thin hammered bracteate fabric.
