Obverse description Bracteate type struck on a thin, irregularly shaped flan with a raised central design in relief. A schematically rendered eagle displayed in profile faces left, its head turned with stylized curling feathers indicated at the crown, wings folded and body occupying the central field. To the right of the bird, a simplified architectural or foliate element is present. The composition is enclosed within a double raised border of concentric rings following the coin's irregular circumference. No legend is present; the design is entirely pictorial and executed in the coarse, vigorous style characteristic of early Polish medieval bracteates.
