| Obverse description | A bracteate of single-sided construction struck on a thin silver flan. The central field displays a stylized eagle displayed in a dynamic, archaic Romanesque manner, with wings rendered by parallel engraved lines evoking feathering, and a serpentine, coiled tail curling beneath the body. The design fills the concave field to the rim, which is defined by a plain raised border. No legend or inscription is present; the composition is purely heraldic and emblematic in character, consistent with the Piast dynastic coinage of the late 12th to early 13th century. |
