| Obverse description | Facing bust of the archbishop depicted in a highly stylized, archaic manner, wearing a mitre rendered as a triangular form above the head. The face is schematically modeled with globular pellet eyes and a prominent nose, flanked on either side by small pellets suggesting the lappets of the mitre. A partial Latin legend runs around the periphery within a beaded or notched border typical of medieval bracteate coinage. |
