Obverse description Facing bust of Abbot Henry I, crowned and wearing ecclesiastical vestments, depicted in a stylized Romanesque manner within a beaded inner circle. The figure holds a crozier in the left hand, rendered with bold, linear drapery characteristic of 12th-century German ecclesiastical coinage. A Latin legend runs along the outer margin of the flan. The overall composition is typical of abbatial bracteate coinage from the Hersfeld region, with strong relief on a thin, broad silver flan.

Reverse description As a bracteate, the reverse displays the incuse mirror image of the obverse design, showing the incised impression of the crowned abbatial bust with crozier. The thin silver flan exhibits the characteristic shallow, ghosted relief inherent to bracteate coinage production, with no independent reverse design or legend. The surface retains natural metal flow lines and minor irregularities consistent with hand-hammered manufacture.
