| Additional information |
Bolesław Mieszkowic ruled Kuyavia during a period of intense Piast fragmentation, and the Hebrew characters appearing on his bracteates reflect the direct involvement of Jewish mint operators — a documented practice in medieval Polish minting where Jewish leaseholders managed production and occasionally inscribed their names or initials into the dies. These are not decorative elements; they are administrative signatures of the men who ran the operation.
At 0.17g, the fabric is extraordinarily thin even by bracteate standards, making surviving examples without cracks or flan splits genuinely scarce.
