| Obverse description | Emperor Friedrich I (Barbarossa) enthroned facing in majesty, rendered in high relief characteristic of Rhenish bracteate coinage. The sovereign is depicted wearing imperial regalia, holding a lily-tipped scepter in his right hand and a globus cruciger in his left, symbolizing temporal and spiritual authority. The enthroned figure is framed beneath a two-towered architectural arch, evoking the gateway or palace facade, a common motif on Frankfurt imperial bracteates. A beaded inner border encloses the central design, with a plain raised rim defining the outer edge of the thin uniface flan. The bold, stylized modelling of the figure reflects the Romanesque artistic conventions prevalent in imperial German coinage of the mid-to-late twelfth century. |

| Reverse description | Uniface bracteate; the reverse presents the incuse mirror image of the obverse design, as is characteristic of all bracteate coinage produced by striking a single thin silver flan with one die. No additional design elements, legends, or devices are present on the reverse field. |
