Obverse description Crowned emperor enthroned facing, depicted in high relief in the Romanesque bracteate style, holding a fleur-de-lis scepter in his right hand and an imperial orb in his left. The enthroned figure is rendered with schematic drapery folds indicated by incised lines, set within an inner beaded circle. Two pellets and a star appear in the field flanking the effigy.
