Obverse description Concave bracteate field displaying the municipal arms of Elbląg: a heraldic shield bearing a cross patté surmounted by a smaller escutcheon, all rendered in bold relief typical of hammered bracteate coinage. The shield is centrally positioned within a plain inner circle, itself enclosed by a raised outer border following the irregular flan edge. The design is executed in a schematic, late-medieval style with no legend or inscription.
