Obverse description Facing frontal ecclesiastical figure, identified as Abbot Conrad of Zimmern, depicted standing above a fish, holding a crozier in one hand and a book (Bible) surmounted by a lily in the other. The composition is framed by a cross and three rings in the surrounding field, rendered in the thin, single-sided relief characteristic of bracteate coinage. The overall design reflects the Romanesque artistic style prevalent in southern German ecclesiastical minting of the mid-thirteenth century.
Obverse script Latin
