Reverse description As a bracteate, the reverse presents a mirror-image incuse impression of the obverse design, showing the same frontal ecclesiastical bust with raised hand and lateral drapery in shallow relief. The surface is plain and unmarked, characteristic of the single-die hammered bracteate technique used in the episcopal mints of the Upper Rhine and Lake Constance region during the medieval period.
