Obverse description Frontal bust of a crowned bishop or saint rendered in high relief against a plain field, wearing liturgical vestments with a jewelled crown surmounted by fleurs-de-lis. The figure holds a crozier (pastoral staff) to the left and raises the right hand in a gesture of benediction. The composition is framed by a beaded inner circle, with a fragmentary Latin legend distributed around the outer periphery. The striking style is characteristic of 13th-century Polish bracteate coinage, with bold, schematic modelling typical of the Kraków mint.
