| Obverse description | Facing enthroned ruler depicted in high relief, holding an imperial orb in each raised hand, rendered in a stylised Romanesque manner characteristic of mid-13th century German bracteate coinage. The figure is shown frontally with broad shoulders, the two orbs positioned symmetrically at either side of the body. Two pellets appear below the orbs in the lower field. The entire design is set within a plain raised border, with the thin flan displaying the shallow incuse impression typical of bracteate technique on the reverse. |
