Obverse description Two adjacent heraldic shields displayed side by side: the Magdeburg arms on the left and the Brandenburg eagle on the right. A cross divides the date above the shields, with the year expressed in the field. The design is rendered in the thin, one-sided bracteate tradition, with shallow relief typical of late medieval hammered pfennig coinage from the Lower Saxon region.
