Obverse description Central monogram 'AHR' for Adolphus Henry (Adolphe Henri), Wildgrave and Rhinegrave of Salm-Dhaun, flanked by three small heraldic shields of arms arranged two above one in the lower field. The design is struck in bracteate fashion, with the thin fabric of the coin showing the design in relief on a plain field. The coin displays typical late 16th-century German petty coinage style with no surrounding legend.
