| Obverse description | Abbess seated facing beneath a rounded arch flanked by two towers, rendered in the Romanesque bracteate style. The enthroned figure holds an open Bible in the left hand and a lily scepter in the right hand, symbolic attributes of abbatial authority. The architectural canopy with its central arch and lateral towers frames the composition in a manner typical of mid-12th-century Saxon ecclesiastical bracteates. |
