Obverse description Central field depicts two clusters of grapes joined together, each rendered as a group of raised pellets arranged in a symmetrical bunch, separated by a central vertical division. A single pellet appears below the grape clusters and another above, serving as decorative stops. The entire device is enclosed within a plain inner circle, outside of which runs a circular legend in Gothic minuscule letters. The overall style is characteristic of late medieval German bracteate coinage, struck on a thin uniface flan.
