Obverse description Bracteate struck on a thin, irregular flan exhibiting the characteristic hammered fabric of late medieval North German coinage. The central device depicts a stylized facing eagle's head, rendered in low relief with spread wings suggested by flanking elements, set within a plain inner circle. The design is surrounded by a beaded or roped border following the irregular edge of the flan. The composition is unlettered, with no legend or inscription in the field. The overall style is archaic and schematic, consistent with Lübeck bracteate issues of the second half of the fourteenth century.
