Reverse description The reverse displays a frontal bust of Saint Wenceslas, patron saint of Bohemia, rendered in a simplified Romanesque manner within a beaded inner circle. The saint is depicted with a radiate or striated nimbus, draped in ecclesiastical vestments, and holding a lance or banner in his right hand and a cross or shield in his left, consistent with his traditional iconographic attributes on early Bohemian coinage. The facial features are schematic and bold, characteristic of late 10th-century die-cutting. A circular Latin legend reading S WENCEZLAVS surrounds the central effigy, separated by a beaded border. The flan edges are slightly ragged, as expected on hammered silver of this era.
